I tried a similar product (Baby Feet? something?), after reading up about the best way to use it. 1. soak feet in warm/hot water for 20-30 mins, then apply stuff and booties and keep on for four times longer than it says on the packet 2. soak feet in warm/hot water for 20-30 mins every day 3. keep feet socked in between
It kinda worked. The skin did peel off, but not in big dramatic swoops - it started coming off after the third day and took about a week to all come off. It was VERY challenging not to pick at it. The warm water soaking was nice, but not at all convenient.
But the hard hooves started to come back immediately, so a week after the final peeling my feet were exactly the same as ever. So I'm back at my old foot-softening routine: lanolin twice a week, with cotton socks to keep it on, and twice a week using a foot-scrubby thingo from the Body Shop to work off the roughness.
Apparently soaking your feet in hot water for 20 mins, then applying mineral oil and bagging your feet for an hour will give the same results as the fancy kit stuff. I haven't tried it yet.
